FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

Marta González is a visual artist based in London that combines photography and printmaking.

The influence of her uncle in Philosophy motivated her interest in human interpretation. In her practice, she invites the spectator to find their significance in the images. What do we see? There is more than one truth, and it belongs to the individual.

Marta is interested in the debate about the photographic message, and the disquieting feeling provoked when we do not understand its meaning.

Materials are of great importance in her work; the type of paper and graphic interventions, such as torn shapes of chine collé or the use of colour, reinforce this mutability of the image.

Her photographic scenes appeal to ideas between the real and the imaginary. Enigmatic landscapes where reflections, soil marks and water trails, beyond their beauty, reveal the dramatic happening of life.
